Webcomics

SO! Another year has passed. What happened to 2014? I was doing research shenanigans and I missed celebrating 801 as well as updating this lovely BL list. That made this fujojo sad so I’m making up for it this 2015 and to get the party started, I’m doing my annual roundup of BL Webcomics online!

I’ve been doing this round up for some time and I’ve been eternally grateful to all the amazing people who have led me (and readers of this blog) to some amazing BL reads available online. This year, I’m asking for your help as I pool again the awesome BL Webcomic Rec List for 2015.

Now what is BL and what exactly do I mean by BL Webcomic? I’m  BL stands for Boys Love, a comic which contains romance between boys (or men). I understand that this is a very broad definition which doesn’t encompass the complexity of the term but for now I’m using this definition to make our lives a little easier. A BL Webcomic stands for any comic that contains BL and is easily available online. Now for some this may mean queer, gay, bara, or yaoi webcomics. Some of these webcomics may be free while others might require some form of subscription. Honestly, I welcome any recommendation! The more the merrier! The more diverse our pool becomes the more we understand how rich and diverse this genre is! If it’s in a foreign language, I’ll take the rec too! My only clause is this rec shouldn’t have been mentioned in the previous list! Check out my previous lists to see what I have covered!

How do you submit a rec? The easiest way is to write a comment in this entry. The second way is to give me the rec in twitter with the hashtag #801BLRec. The last one is if your list can’t be contained by twitter’s 140 characters or my comment box, you can e-mail me (check my deets in my about page) with the title [801BLRec]. If you’re tumblr happy, send me your recs via my ask box!

Since I am quite sure you guys are amazing and as a sorry for missing out last year, I am giving away some comics to three random contributors to this list! Comics range from a volume of Pink Gold (which includes Nakamura Asumiko, Hideyoshico, Watanabe Asia, etc.) or 2 ebooks from Sparkler Monthly! Contributors, no matter how much you rec, will get as much as 1 entry in this raffle. I’m accepting entries from 24 – 31 July 2015. So if you have a webcomic you’re dying to rec, rec away!
